Read-A-Thon - Random Factoids About Self

1. Where? Broadcasting to you live from My Porch, Oklahoma.
2. Three random facts about me: I'm in the final stages of completing my Tumbleweed Home (Never heard of it? Check it here.), I am the steward of a polydactyl tuxedo cat named Beckett, and I have a black belt in Karate/ Taekwondo/ Muay Thai kickboxing.
3. How many books in your Read-A-Thon pile? Nine, I think. Maybe ten.
4. Goals? Finish the BookBabes selection o' the month, Scarlet Feather, and still have time to go to Lowes.
5. Done this madness before? Nope. Total newb.

  1. I'm so thrilled you're doing this! And I loved the cheer you left! So I will give you the same cheer I left Bittner too (technically I get my cheer on during the last 6 hours of readathon, so expect more future greatness!)

    You got some strange looks
    For piling up your books
    But have no fear
    We're here to cheer
    Go, Readathon!

  2. I got up at 6:30 so I could be ready for work by 7 and spend the 45 minutes before I left work getting online!

Okay, how is this for a cheer?

*set to the tune of the How funky is your Chicken? cheer in Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie!*

How funky is your reading pile
How funky is your reading pile
    How loose are your books
    Are books are totally loose
So come on all you readers
So come on all you readers
    and shake out your Proust
    and shake out your Proust!!!

  3. I'm not doing the read a thon this year, but have always met so many great people through it. Remember to have fun-do the mini challenges and talk on twitter. On my first read a thon, I was consumed by the number of books I wanted to read, and didn't have as much fun as the times I interacted with other bloggers.

  14. Back with a fresh cheer:

I like the books that thrill
    the books that smile
    the books confuse
    the books that take awhile
But mostly I love the books I devour
    During Readathon's 24 hours!
